TES 46
The Indian Army organizes this examination for the post of Technical Entry Scheme 46 or TES46. TES stands for Technical Entry Scheme. This exam is conducted to recruit eligible candidates for the various training academies. The candidates who complete the selection process and the training program of 5 years are awarded the Permanent Commission in the Army on the rank of Lieutenant.
TES is exclusively for unmarried male candidates who have just completed their 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry (PCM) and have scored at least 60% of marks. TES and NDA are parallel courses where the candidates have to undergo medical screening before the permanent selection. The TES 46 Selection Process 2021 includes three stages: shortlisting, SSB Interview, and Medical Examination.

Eligibility Criteria
Nationality-
- Indian Citizen
- A Subject of Bhutan
- A Subject of Nepal
- A Tibetan refugee joined India before the 1st of January 1962.
AGE LIMIT CRITERIA-
- A candidate must not be less than 16.5 years and not more than 19.5 years of age.
MARITAL STATUS ELIGIBILITY-
- Only unmarried males are eligible to sit in the examination
- Females, married or unmarried, both can apply for the TES.
EDUCATIONAL ELIGIBILITY-
- As per the official announcement, the selection of candidates TES 46 will be based on the JEE Mains (2021) marks rather than Class XIIth marks as followed earlier.
- Must have completed 10+2 from Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry (PCM) with 60% marks.
- Should have appeared for JEE Mains as the candidate will be selected on the score of JEE Mains.
Physical Standards
- Height: The minimum height of the candidate should not be less than 140 cm.
- Weight: The minimum weight for candidates of all ages is 35.3 kgs.
- Body Mass index should be below 25.
- The waist and hip ratio should be 0.9 for males and 0.8 for females.
- Waist size should be less than 90 cm for males and 80 cm for females.
